Personal Statement:
I take inspiration from my drawings which are strong, expressive recordings of emotions and impressions coming from deep within. I strive to explore human expressions and emotion within my ceramic composition using spontaneity and playful exploration of the material . I am searching to articulate natural human energy and strength within my 3D construction using the innate qualities of the clay. I am inspired by the ceramic art of Ewan Henderson and Claudio Casanovas and the paintings of Nicola de Steal. I am searching for vigour, energy and natural strength as the main motivation for my work.
